My cousin is on the far right in this awesome photo. She ended up marrying Seattle’s greatest record producer (Sir Mix-a-lot, Soundgarden, Screaming Trees, White Zombie, Pantera, Deftones, Fishbone, Smashing Pumpkins, Snoop Dog, Incubus, Ozzy Osbourne, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Soulfly and much more). We had our naming ceremony together and I had no idea that this photo was in her past. Love it.

Friendster rocked

  • MeredithOct 18 2003, 04:19 PM This is not a guilt trip testimonial.
Autumn is way rad, even if I know too
much about her (I promise not to use
it in a cort of law). She is for sure
a Queen; smart, sassy and unwilling to
take guff from no man or woman. I miss
this girl, she is a vital part of the
Eugene music community. She once put
on a wig on backwards and said she was
Ron from the Courtesy Clerks… at a
Courtesy Clerks show! That’s how I
remember Autumn, willing to sass you
to your face. That, and a bit crazy
(who isn’t?). Once again, this is not
    a guilt trip testimonial.
  • MarkOct 11 2003, 11:52 PM Thanks to Autumn and her world famous
top notch blog I no longer have to
venture out in public. I can now stay
home with the lights off and the
shades drawn and avoid all human to
human contact, all the while knowing
what is really going on in the world.
Also, I believe in my heart that Queen
Autumn is and always will be the
    unofficial official Slug Queen.
  • RobertOct 04 2003, 04:24 AM Autumn sent me a shitty form letter so
I figured I may as well do this before
she floods my real email with
    thousands of crappy forwards about
    stolen kidneys and microsoft money.
Autumn helped me keep my sanity, or
whatever my definition of sanity was
at the time, while we worked in the
ASUO office together. Overall, I would
rank our administration as the worst
in school history but I think the work
I did was good and usefull. She is one
of only a few chicks that I know of
who can keep up with me while drinking
so that is cool. She fostered my son
    Dominic’s undying devotion to the
Beastie Boys. She also is the second
of my friends to be named after a
season so I am currently looking for a
Spring and Winter to fill out the
roster. Oh, and I made out with her
boyfriend at a party. Well, really he
forced himself on me. I don’t if that
says more about him or me or Autumn.
    I’ll let you decide.
  • BrineOct 04 2003, 01:44 AM autumn is officially here!
  • KusiSep 20 2003, 11:53 PM autumn is a girl after my own nature. i
believe she is the only friend i know
who is most eligible for the title of
the s.l.u.g. queen title. she’s got my
vote, a million times over. this girl
    has, sass, class, humor, intelligence
and is one of the most honest people out
there. i cannot wait to see what next
years fair has in store for the both of
    us….cheers autumn. love knowing you
and having you on my side. suerte.
  • MikeSep 20 2003, 01:31 PM I finally met Autumn tonight! We both recognized each other. It was classic. She was wearing a lime-green wig (much like the one seen in her pictures), giant green-plastic hoop earrings (don’t get your ankles stuck in’ em!), a huge pink dress (PIIIINK!), carrying a pink purse, with pink shoes (I think. I might not have looked at her shoes). I think she was doing a dress-rehearsal for the SLUG Queen pageant. She looked like a SLUG Queen. I bought her a drink cuz she’s SO FUXN COOL!!!
  • DanielSep 12 2003, 04:20 AM You know, Autumn has this guilt thing
about how she treated me in High
School. We were in Drama together and
I was a total geek. The truth is, I
admire her and I have since I first met
her. She was the senior. The girl
    with everything together. I always
worked harder to be better, after
meeting her. If Autumn hadn’t been
there, I would not have turned out even
    slightly socially redeemable. Thank
you Autumn, and all is cool!
  • MegSep 11 2003, 06:57 PM I remember listening to the Chili
Peppers in Autumn’s room in high
school … and being a “guest DJ” with
her on the UO campus radio station …
the girl kicks ass, on stage and off,
and has been a loyal friend to my
sister and me for years. She’s a
devoted fan of ellipses and has
impeccable grammar, thanks in part to
J101, I’m sure. She just needs to move
    to Portland… Any day now.
  • NathanSep 09 2003, 12:02 PM for the past 22 hours i have been
    feeling terribly guilty for having
taken part in the destruction of one of
    autumn’s favorite childhood toys. even
though i swear that the dirty blonde
barbie was in lance’s hand and that i
merely tapped it with my highly
    glamourized immitation fashion doll,
and that there MUST have previously
been a hairline fracture in dirty
blonde’s neck, i still have been afraid
that autumn may never forgive me. as a
child who once had to throw away all my
toys due to a pesticide contamination,
i do not take these issues lightly. i
only hope that time will heal autumn’s
pain and that she may find forgiveness
in her heart so that we might hang out
    a second time. stop.
  • JohnSep 09 2003, 04:41 AM This one time at Horsehead, Autumn was
telling me about the love lives of
priests. She got up to use the
restroom and NEVER CAME BACK. I never
saw her again and I am sure she was
taken by the Iluminati … oh wait, I
have seen her many times since.

the way that’s clear?” - Michael Damien
  • DavidSep 09 2003, 03:01 AM Autumn “The Bottom” is more than just
an everyday friend to me, she is a
    lifelong friend. I’ve known Autumn
since I was 13 (when she hated me)
We’ve been through every kind of
    situation from modeling school to
roomates, and one thing remains the
same….she is a geniune, true to you
and herself, make you feel better
    FRIEND! Autumn is beautiful, talented,
HILARIOUS, fun, a great singer, and a
GOOD FRIEND. She is the whole package
guys!!! If only she were a man! DAMNIT
    AUTUMN! Oh yeah, one more
    thing…..don’t expect her to
    front……what you see, is exactly
what you get! I LOVE YOU AUTUMN!!!
  • GingerJul 31 2003, 09:24 PM Autumn is the funkiest, absolutly
coolest chick in Eugene. If you want to
know anything about music ask this
gorgeous lady. And she should seriously
consider getting her ass down here to
    SF to visit me.
  • OllyJul 08 2003, 05:41 PM Autumn is alternately wryly reserved
    and fearlessly outgoing, cynical and
    idealistic, impersonating Elvis and not
    impersonating Elvis. Smart. Passionate.
Sweet but not saccharin. A close
    reader. Wickedly funny. Inspiringly
    encyclopedic about music, too. However,
for the sake of balance it must be said
    that she’s a terrible Catholic.

After all the fireworks, she’s one of
my favorite people on the face of the
    damn planet.
  • RonJul 03 2003, 06:13 AM Apparently Autumn questions my
    sometimes abstract poetry. Such words
come from deep within the soul; it is
    not something that is always
immediately understood. This is a poem
just for her, titled “The Seasons of
    Autumn”

    She’s a very kinky girl
The kind you don’t take home to mother
She will never let your spirits down
Once you get her off the street, ow girl
She likes the boys in the band
She says that I’m her all-time favorite
When I make my move to her room it’s
    the right time
    She’s never hard to please

    Thank you.
  • RebeccaJul 02 2003, 08:25 PM Autumn has been key in keeping me from
becoming too much of a hermit. She
    knows everybody and is outgoing,
    intelligent, sensitive and kind.
Autumn is also a formidable Scrabble
    opponent and superb accessorizer.
  • Ryan McPunkyJun 30 2003, 10:52 AM You know that band from Autumn to
Ashes? Everytime I listen to them I
think of her, even though I have never
met her if she wasn’t such a socalite I
would make her come to a show in
corvallis because she is THAT damn cool!
  • MikeJun 29 2003, 06:09 PM I wanna get in on some pint-matching with Autumn and some of the other Friendster heads around town. But mostly with Autumn. :D
  • BrianJun 28 2003, 00:57 AM mmm….Autumn? What do I have to say
about her? I have to say a lot of things
about her…words won’t even begin to
describe my friend Autumn, but…here it
    is anyways: LIFE!!!
  • RonJun 27 2003, 08:38 AM For me the friendship with Autumn is
like the wonderful, spring breeze which
blows through the fields and through
the meadow, the sun shining the rose
    are in bloom because
  • JenniferJun 25 2003, 01:27 AM Dear eligible bachelors in town: Will
one of you please take this girl away
from the singles scene?! I’m tired of
all of the guys turning their heads and
looking at her when she walks in the
room. Also, I’d like to do karaoke just
once without having all the guys fall
to her feet swooning with desire.
Please date her, treat her right, and
    keep her indoors! Thank you.
  • HalleJun 23 2003, 01:33 AM autumn used to think that i hated her.
and i used to think she hated me. then
we found out neither of us hated the
other but that we did hate some of the
same people. now we are friends and we
talk at bars. that is cool.
  • ihatethisJun 16 2003, 01:58 AM Oh Autumn… what a party it is when I see
you out on the town. I like Autumn like this
“a lot” and like this “a way ton”. Autumn is
too much rock and roll for one chick… too
much sass for one ass… I will someday
aspire to be as cool; and will fail miserably.
  • chimpchampionJun 15 2003, 12:15 PM I swear on everything that is holy,
if ‘autumn’ doesn’t get her arse to
Max’s one of these fine evenings to
match pints she’s cruisin to find the
    business end of my prehensile
tail! ‘Incognito’, my toe! Rock out
    with yer cock out, dendriphile!

    keen.
  • BrianJun 12 2003, 07:57 AM Autumn is the best actress in the world
and a down to earth kind of gal. I love
working with her and love all attributes
and characteristics about her. If I was
staight I would go with her…GO AUTUMN!!!
  • JefJun 07 2003, 05:35 AM i don’t know autumn, but she seems
like a sweet, exciting, friendly, and
    motivated person.
  • RandyMay 28 2003, 03:28 AM Autumn is one of those people that
makes me feel crappy because no matter
how much i do, i ain’t ever catching up
to the amazing Queen Autumn. A good
friend no doubt, but horrible for your
    ego.
  • TrevorMay 23 2003, 00:08 AM To describe Autumn with mere words,
would be an injustice to both her and
the hordes of people that strive to
follow her example. Perhaps this haiku
    will describe her best…

    Autumn is neato
    Not unlike a mosquito
    I enjoy fried food.

    The End
  • GeoffMay 19 2003, 05:59 AM I’ve actually known Queen Autumn for
several years now — but I didn’t start
proudly wearing clothing with her face
on it until today. Nice merch!

    Historical Perspective: My first meeting
with QA was a brief, two-second
encounter (!) sometime in the mid-90s.
    Friend of a friend stuff, really…and I
was only *very* remotely involved in the
occasion. Pleased to know that years
later, we have stuff in common like our
hefty dislike of Buddy at Rite-Aid.

Friendster Revisited

  • FakeTomMay 20 2004, 04:51 AM Mommy, there is some jack ass claiming
to be the “real” tom! He calls
himself “classic” Tom! He has been
attacking me! Mommy, why have you
pushed me out of the nest? It’s cold
    out here…
  • BrianApr 19 2004, 00:14 AM WOW!!! What to say about Autumn. Well,
first of all she is one hot hippy from
eugene oregon and she better not forget
that. All the parties in the world can
not cover that, let alone make up. If
there is one person in the whole wide
world of bullshit, Autumn aka big A,
will help up go through life and
protect you. She’s a big girl, but damn
she looks good. If I were straight, I’d
marry her if she let me. This shout out
goes to Big A ‘cause she deserves it.
    xoxoxoxoxoxoxo Love, Brian
  • RandyApr 18 2004, 00:47 AM If you want to be friends with Autumn,
you might as well realize that she is
just going to be a lot cooler than you
ok? However, the good news is that
just by hanging out with Autumn, your
cool quotient goes up 5pts per hour.
Look at me: Six months ago i worked a
dead end job in eugene oregon and
didn’t know who The Sounds were. And
now? Let’s just say I’m in LA rocking
out to “Rock n’ Roll” at a new dead end
    job. Eh? Was i right?
  • LowellApr 10 2004, 02:58 PM I have nothing but respect for Autumn.
She was a good friend and a good
manager. We had some good times back
    in the day.
  • EvillordbrettApr 01 2004, 06:42 PM I have known Autumn for about six
(maybe seven) years and this is what I
can tell you about her. She is nuts.
    She likes drinking. She likes
drinking. She worked at a church (I
am still laughing). She once had a
radio show that was nothing but cool.
    Sometimes we would hang out.
Sometimes I wouldn’t see her for
    months. Sometimes just a knowing
glance. If forced to choose one word
it would be “Queen”. May the rock
    gods bless her soul eternally.
  • JulieMar 27 2004, 11:08 AM Autumn, Autumn, Autumn….how can you not love
the girl? She fully participates in life and is an
inspiration for it. I have so many fond memories of
Autumn, but my favorite will always be when she
reunited us last summer by grabbing my boob at
the bar. For this, I dedicate my life to protecting
    her from frat boy stalkers.
  • JohnMar 04 2004, 10:08 PM Autumn is the only person I know who
impersonates Elvis and plays the Star
    Spangled Banner on her theremin.
  • KeithMar 02 2004, 02:09 AM Oh Autumn…yet another friend to move
to the big city and the bright
lights. You’ll really have to blog
more now that you’re gone so my Dad
and I will have something to talk
about. Best of luck in Portland and
we’ll see you in March for the
Burlesque show. (she’s going to host!)
  • JohnFeb 15 2004, 03:38 AM Autumn is gone. Now it is winter.
  • GregFeb 06 2004, 01:47 AM Who is that grougeous male that you
are tounging in your pictures? He
looks like a fun boy. Im going to miss
you. You must come down for the
    birthday celebration.
  • BrianFeb 02 2004, 11:55 PM WOW!!! Autumn is leaving me for a few
months….:(! But we will reunite in
this upcoming summer of 2004. I was her
stage manager and I will fill that role
again. I love you autumn and we will be
    friends forever. peace, love, happiness
and freedom. I can’t wait until I get
to portland myself. the theater’s there
pay!!! YAY YAY YAY go autumn it’s your
time to shine„,take the spotlight and
show me who’s boss and I’ll reward you
with a nifty queer gift. Talk to you
    soon…miss ya…brian
  • CharlotteFeb 02 2004, 05:48 AM We’ll miss you QUEEN AUTUMN!
  • JimboJan 17 2004, 12:18 PM BIG CHEER FOR THE DUCHESS OF
SPRINGTUCKY OK!! SHE IS GOOD AND WISE
AND SETS GREAT EXAMPLE TO BE FOLLOWED
KIDS SO PAY ATTENTION OK!! ALSO NICE
    WITH GOOD SINGING!!
  • JenJan 15 2004, 11:47 PM Oh Autumn, I know that this will be but
a mere drop in the ocean of heartfelt
tributes to your splendor and charm,
but I want to thank you for the
testimonial. You were my first, and
I’ll never forget you. Hey, now you’re
The Queen and The King. Here’s my
prediction for 2004: I’ll see you out
at a bar sometime soon-we’ll both be
    really drunk. Yay!
  • JenniferJan 15 2004, 10:39 PM I never believed Autumn’s tales of
    skinny dipping w/Tiger Woods, being
backstage with the Beastie Boys or her
tale about getting the Michael Jackson
autograph on her wall until I was
walking down the street one day and she
introduced me to her “Dipshit friend
Ed” and I turned and saw that it was
Edward Furlong. She was totally giving
him shit and he just followed her to
the store to get cigarettes. WHATEVER!
  • ErinJan 15 2004, 09:39 PM Autumn once swore me as her arch
nemesis, or at least thats what I
heard, but judging from the fact that
she is now my friendster, I think she
has changed her mind. Glad to see we
have come so far. She always seemed so
damn hot it would have been a real
dissapointment if I would have had to
keep a five block radius distance
between us for the rest of my time in
    Eugene.
  • JoshJan 08 2004, 10:11 PM Queen Autumn, I’m not exactly sure which
country your the queen of, but sign me
up for its army. As one of your
subjects, you’re not gonna make me get
on my knees and kiss your feet whenever
her majesty enters the room, are you?
    Actually, that sounds kinda fun…
  • AbeJan 02 2004, 01:24 AM Autumn has been a hero of mine
ever since she made her millions
    laundering cash with African exiles.
  • GregDec 19 2003, 08:49 AM My new big sister. I am now under two
pairs of watchful eyes. ya’ll better
not mess. i swear. ill sick her on you.
    you will tear you apart.
  • SallyDec 14 2003, 09:28 PM Yeah well I remember smoking lots of
    weed and drinking Boones strawberry
wine with you Autumn. Ugh! No wonder I
    was passing out!
Many good times, too bad I can’t
remember much more than that. Maybe I
will have the chance to dance on your
    head!
  • NathanDec 14 2003, 07:34 AM I’m suppost to add a testy-monial. If I don’t
then I get hateful messages stating that it is
not patriotic to recieve but not give. Autumn is
an American. And so am I.
  • Mike bDec 09 2003, 11:30 PM We call her QUEEN Autumn. And for good
reason. The fact that she rules over
everything she touches, be it KWVA,
Eugene Rock, Friendster or the Catholic
Church. Yes, she has made a Monarchy
of the Virgin Mary’s religion without
even believing. She can often be found
with her entourage, piering through the
dank corners of a local bar.
    Watching. Observing her peasantry from
a close distance. And more than any
other Queen I know, this beauty knows
    how to reatain power. Machiavelli
    would be proud.
  • Donald DelmarDec 09 2003, 11:02 AM I just don’t get what it is that she
    sees in that song.
  • JohnDec 06 2003, 09:45 PM HAPPY BIRTHDAY, oh wait, I mean happy
    Sunday.
  • StacyNov 20 2003, 01:43 AM Autumn is the hottest recovering
Jehovah’s Witness ever, and if you’re
lucky, she’ll let you play Barbies at
her house. But you can’t play with
Princess Diana Barbie or Prince Charles
    Ken. They’re off limits.
  • GlendaNov 19 2003, 03:08 AM Fruity Fun! I love your photos, they are just
so fun! Can’t wait to know you more!
  • RevoNov 09 2003, 04:27 AM without Autumn, the world itself would
break apart and float away in all
    directions. That would mean no
Friendster. and that would mean no
friends. So remember to thank Autumn
each and every time you talk to her.
-Thank You Autumn, thank you so.
  • ScottkOct 27 2003, 10:34 PM Like my friend(ster) Ken said, summer
is great- but I also really do enjoy
the tail end of Autumn. I really do!
  • RandyOct 21 2003, 11:54 PM Autumn wrote me a nice testimonial
saying i have good taste in music, but
in reality she has much better taste.
It’s true. She was the one who
introduced me to The Faint, a band i
never would have listened to because i
thought they had a stupid name. Then
again, that’s what they said about
    Mozart.
  • PennyOct 20 2003, 01:48 AM I saw Autumn today at the Saturday
    market networking with the hippies!!
I actually met Autumn through my 4 1/2
year old son. Interesting. You DA
BOMB GIRLFRIEND! I like listening to
    your radio show. You’re funny.

  • also, from our joint horoscope:

“You and Autumn can overcome any bumps on
    the road.

Phooey on fashion — who needs it when you and
your friend have such a fantastic sense of style?
What’s the difference, you ask? Well, fashion is
subject to the passing whims of trends. Style is
all about knowing what looks good on you — and
what is good for you. Both of you have style, and
what’s more important, you have substance. No
matter what ‘they’ say is in, you both know
different — and better. Don’t forget that.”

so when did friendster turn into a crappy

  • Dear Autumn, we have grown apart! I
don’t know what to do about it. But you
are my child of course not by birth,
but you get the drift. Now, how come I
have written like five of these things
and you have only written one and that
was like a year ago. You should totally
do one…cause I love you girl and I
    miss you tons……..GO WOLVERINES!!!!

  • when Autumn changes her profile to “In
a relationship” all of the indie
hipster boys with bad haircuts start to
cry on their record collections. Now
the world will be full of sad indie-
    electroclash-new wave-dance music
produced by sad boys. Better start
    cracking!

  • So Autumn gave me my first job in
radio at the college station in
Eugene. What have you done for me
    lately?

  • Autumn’s blog has sucked me in! It’s
the perfect balance of humor, suspense,
drama, and current events. John Corbett
    sightings, housesitting betrayals,
Native pride, bands that aren’t even on
my radar—-it’s all there! Oh yeah—and
one time Autumn took a friend of mine
home from a party, got him into bed,
then pointedly told him, “NO SEX,” and
then went to sleep. Poor guy thought
they were at least going to make out
some more, but that Autumn keeps them
    guessing!

Hopefully this will be viewable in Japan, unlike the other videos.

This wasn’t really part of the plan, but since this track is out there we wanted to let you hear it here first, or maybe second. Enjoy
